From the PEREX traffic centre in Namur, the Federal Police and its partners, control and manage the situation on main roads in Wallonia.
In the traffic centre camera data is centralized, emergency calls are answered and traffic information is provided to the various channels such as websites and Traffic info.
Given the importance of the Perex center, the equipment had to meet the most recent requirements. That is why a brand new traffic center has been build.
The building is 800 m2 in size and has four floors with the latest checkpoints and a fiber optic network that can be used to monitor the situation on the road network in real time.
New to the traffic center is the control center for the waterway network.
Project work involved:
- Design, delivery and installation of 35 workstations in 6 different versions
- Design, delivery and installation of 2 work islands with integrated cupboard space
