eRIC 2026: connect, deepen and look ahead

On 22 and 23 April 2026, the fifth edition of eRIC will take place at Vliegveld Twenthe. This multidisciplinary trade event brings together safety professionals from across the Netherlands. For two days, knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration take centre stage.

For everyone working in control rooms, safety regions, police, defence, mobility or crisis management, eRIC is the place to experience the latest developments in the safety domain up close.

Meldkamerplein: one knowledge partner for the dispatch room domain

This year, Meldkamerplein will once again be prominently present with an extensive exhibition stand. Meldkamerplein is a collaboration of eight leading knowledge partners active in the field of control rooms, traffic control centres and critical operations environments. Together, they form an independent knowledge platform for complex control room challenges.

At the central Meeting Square, two integrated control room solutions will be presented around the theme of information driven operations. Visitors can see how technology, workspace design and operational processes come together in one coherent solution. The various partner components are aligned both technically and conceptually, allowing visitors to experience how collaboration works in practice.

With approximately 40 exhibitors represented at the stand, Meldkamerplein continues to grow as a networking platform where knowledge and practical application reinforce one another.

Designing environments that support the professional

As a permanent knowledge partner within Meldkamerplein, CREON will of course be present at eRIC. We demonstrate how a well-considered control room design contributes to overview, focus and continuity in 24/7 environments.

At the stand, we will present five ergonomic sit stand workstations, combined with 24/7 chairs and a personal video wall setup. Visitors can experience the solutions first hand and discover how ergonomics, technology and ease of use come together in the daily work of dispatchers and operators.

At the centre of the square stands our iconic LMS workstation. This desk was developed ten years ago for the Landelijke Meldkamer Samenwerking (national dispatch room collaboration) in the Netherlands. All our workstations are electrically height adjustable. What makes the LMS desk unique is that the monitors can be adjusted independently of the work surface, both in height and depth. This allows each user to optimise the setup according to their posture and task requirements. The acoustic blue and yellow panel behind the monitors, featuring a cut out with the LMS logo, contributes to sound absorption and recognisability.

In addition, we will showcase:

Current safety themes

Meldkamerplein organises several in depth sessions each day. The topics closely reflect current developments within the safety domain.

Discussions will include the impact of geopolitical threats on our security, explored from multiple perspectives. There will be a reflection on the NATO summit from the perspective of the national police, as well as insights into aggression in public transport, based on experiences from the NS control room.

Operational topics will also be addressed, such as the further implementation of KCR2, crowd management during large scale events such as Sail 2025, and the deployment of robots and robotics in safety operations. In addition, an evacuation tool developed for scenarios such as flooding or dike breaches in the Zeeland Safety Region will be discussed.

These sessions provide valuable depth for professionals working daily in safety, crisis management and information driven operations.

Working together towards a safer Netherlands

Challenges within the safety domain are becoming increasingly complex. Data volumes are growing, pressure on dispatchers is increasing and collaboration between disciplines is more important than ever. eRIC demonstrates how technology, workspace design and cooperation can strengthen one another.

We warmly invite safety professionals to visit the Meldkamerplein stand and engage with us in conversation about the control room of today and tomorrow.
