We recently won no less than three important tenders! These successes show how driven CREON is to deliver top-quality control room and dispatch room solutions. In doing so, we contribute to improving efficiency and safety of operations. We are happy to share the details of these projects with you.
Port of Antwerp-Bruges
Winning the Port of Antwerp-Bruges tender means we get to deliver our control room solutions to one of Europe’s largest and most important ports. Our SPLIT workstation concept is specifically tailored to the needs of the port. This project fits perfectly with our vision: We believe the world is more beautiful and a safer place when we are ‘in control’.
The SPLIT workstation promotes better and smarter working. SPLIT’s ergonomic set-up and uniform appearance contribute to a calm working environment in which operators can perform their work with focus. The tight alignment of the monitors creates more calm and focus for operators, the sit-stand option and the split-level design contributes to users’ health.
ProRail
As a controller of the railway network in the Netherlands, ProRail ensures that people and goods reach their final destination safely and on time, day and night. CREON won the multi-year contract to provide ProRail’s 24/7 traffic control locations with new furniture. These traffic control stations are spread across 12 locations in the Netherlands, ranging in size from 7 to more than 15 workstations. Besides integrally replacing 180 24/7 workstations, we will also supply 71 desks for ‘other departments’. The contract also includes the supply of 24/7 office chairs and performing 24/7 preventive and corrective maintenance on both desks and chairs.
Our updated and sustainable design based on the SPLIT concept has a weight saving of about 20%, which reduces transport emissions. In addition, we use about 20% more recycled material than before. This means we are meeting the sustainable ambitions of both ProRail and CREON. ‘This tender fits perfectly with CREON’s mission to make the world a safer place, and safety on the railways is an important part of that,’ said Ralf Bogaerts, director of CREON.
ProRail is delighted with this high-quality and sustainable workplace for ProRail employees at VL.
Rijkswaterstaat
We are also proud of the European tender for Rijkswaterstaat (Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management), aimed at the ‘operating desk for the purpose of Building Block Uniform Workplaces for both wet and dry traffic centres’. This 10-year contract includes the design, supply and installation, and management and maintenance of 140 to 160 new operating desks and the maintenance of 100 existing workstations.
In cooperation with Rijkswaterstaat, we are going through a circular and dynamic design process. In this growth process, Rijkswaterstaat and CREON work together to achieve Rijskwaterstaat’s 2030 environmental impact reduction, within the context of this contract. Flexibility in design and organisation is essential to meet the changing demands of traffic management centres.
Our pride and commitment
We believe in delivering solutions that are not only functional and ergonomic, but also sustainable and future-oriented. These three tenders underline our commitment to quality, sustainability, social responsibility, innovation and customer satisfaction. Our flexible and tailor-made solutions respond to the specific needs of our customers, whether they are Europe’s largest port, the Netherlands’ railways or the Rijkswaterstaat’s traffic control centres.
We thank our customers for their trust in CREON and our team for their hard work and dedication. Together, we are building a future full of innovation, efficiency and safety.
